About our high-welfare raw milk
Our Jersey cows and calves go out together all year round, in the summer in the pastures and in the winter in the forest areas.
Our calves share their milk with us. Calves are not separated from their mothers. We wean the calves when they are 6-9 months old, when they no longer need milk. However, they continue to go together in a herd. We only milk once a day, not putting pressure on cows to make raw milk - in contrast to industrial dairies, which usually milk three times a day.
The nutritional content of our raw milk will change continuously and will be different when you buy it. For illustrative purposes, we tested our raw milk in June 2023:
- Fat: 6.4%
- Protein: 4.9%
Regenerative
Our cows and calves are moved often to new pastures (up to 2 times a day during the summer), via holistic grazing approaches. They regenerate the soil as their manure, grazing and trampling in the soil have a positive impact that strengthens the grass and plants, which improves soil life and ecology.
